Who we are

Viscount is a project operated by Necessary Innovations AB, org.nr 559399-4303, with its registered address at Theres Svenssons gata 13, 417 55 Gothenburg, Sweden. The service is in a pre-launch state.

What data we collect

This website uses Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not set cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data. Plausible aggregates traffic by country, source and page; the Plausible script is proxied through our own server. Apart from Plausible we use no other trackers. A language preference is stored in one cookie (viscount.lang). Data you submit via a form or email is handled as described below.

Waitlist and contact forms

If you submit your email address via a waitlist form, you first receive a confirmation email (double opt-in). Only when you click the confirmation link are you added to the list. If you also provide your name, firm or authorisation status, those are stored for the same purpose. We don't share this information with third parties beyond our data processors (see below) and don't use it for marketing outside Viscount.

Chat widget

If a chat widget is enabled on the site, it is powered by Brevo Conversations. If you start a conversation, your message, your email (if you provide it) and basic browser information are sent to Brevo so we can respond.

Data processors

We use the following EU-based data processors for limited purposes:

• Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estland / Estonia). Aggregated usage analytics. plausible.io/data-policy
• Brevo (Sendinblue SA, France). Waitlist storage, confirmation email delivery, and — if enabled — the chat widget. Your data is stored on Brevo's EU infrastructure. You can unsubscribe via the link in every email. brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy

When you contact us

If you send us an email, we store your message and email address so we can respond. We do not use the information for marketing purposes.

Data retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@necessary.nu.

Hosting

This website is self-hosted. Server logs may contain IP addresses and request metadata, retained for operational and security purposes and automatically deleted after 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
